While engineered for performance and pro-level precision, the Chushi Pro set is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly for grillers of all skill levels. As your skills grow, the same system continues to deliver consistent, reliable performance that experienced grillers expect.
In short: easy for beginners, powerful enough for pros.
Yes. Chushi products are safe for food use. They are made from 304 food-grade stainless steel, which is widely used in cookware and grilling tools because it resists corrosion, doesn’t leach harmful substances, and holds up to high cooking temperatures. You can grill directly on the rack with confidence that the materials are appropriate for food contact and safe under normal grilling conditions.
We strongly recommend using heat-resistant grilling gloves when handling the rack or skewers during or after cooking. Chushi is made from solid 304 stainless steel, which retains heat during grilling and can become extremely hot. Always use proper grill tools or protective gloves when adjusting, removing, or repositioning the rack.
To help prevent wooden skewers from burning, soak them in water for about 30 minutes before grilling. This reduces the chance of the wood scorching during cooking.
Rectangular thick bamboo skewers will resist the fire longer and hold the food better, compared to narrow round skewers.
The Chushi Pro set also includes two extra skewer holding plates that help protect the exposed ends of the skewers. Place these plates on the frame bars under the skewer tips and handles to shield them from direct flame and intense heat, helping extend the life of the skewers.
Using both soaking and the protective plates allows you to grill comfortably while keeping your skewers intact.
Chushi works with most common skewer types, including bamboo and metal flat yakitori-style skewers, round bamboo skewers, and flat metal skewers. Flat skewers are especially useful because they help prevent food from rotating when turning. The system is designed to accommodate a variety of skewer widths so you can cook everything from delicate vegetables to larger kebabs.
